10K Splat Royale Championship Tournament

With the first annual 10K Splat Royale Championship Tournament only days away, we wanted to ensure that the community has a collective post to reference that includes everything you need to know about the 10K Tournament as far as rules, expectations, and events taking place. So without further ado, here are some of the most important details regarding the upcoming 10K tournament event:

Date, Time, and Location

  • The 10K Tournament will be held at the Charlotte Country Fairgrounds this Saturday, November 8th.

  • Doors open for Vendors/Artist at 8am, doors open for general public at 9am.

  • Deck checks and check-ins will take place starting 9am.

  • 1st round of main constructed tournament event starts at 10am. We will have 3 rounds, then a 50 minute break for lunch around 12:30-1:00pm depending on how rounds progress, followed by the last 2 rounds.

  • Top cut for top 8 players will take place after 5 rounds.

  • Doors close around 7pm-ish

Event Specifics

  • The main event will be the 10K Constructed Tournament (5 rounds, top cut to top 8)

  • We will offer drafts for players who arent participating in the main tournament, or who may not have made the top cut but still want to play limited.

  • Players participating in drafts will be responsible for splitting the entry cost depending on how many players are participating (boxes will be $100 each for draft, split among the players drafting)

  • We will have designated free-play and trading areas for players

Main Event Prizing Details

  • 1st place = $5,000 + 7 Champion Packs

  • 2nd place = $2,500 + 4 Champion Packs

  • 3rd place = $1,000 + 3 Champion Packs

  • 4th place = $500 + 2 Champion Packs

  • 5th - 8th place = $250 + 1 Champion Pack each

  • Random door prizes for all participants (may include things such as pre-KS sample cards, previous convention promos, and League promos)

Event Specific Card Limitation

The card For the Cause will be limited to 1 copy per deck for this tournament event. We will be checking decks before the event to ensure that all decks are following this limitation, please ensure that the deck you are using for the event is updated to reflect this.

Set 1 & Set 2 Erratas

All erratas for set 1 and set 2 cards are live and posted on the main website at the bottom of each of their respective Card Gallery pages. Please ensure that you are playing the errata'd cards using the correct errata'd versions of those cards.

Artists, Vendors, and Products

  • We will have 2 guests artists in attendance: @zipdraw and @rayofsand will both be attending and will be signing cards and selling their artwork.

  • Mystic Forge LGS will be present as a vendor, selling the Standard Edition of Set 1: The Bug-inning

  • Team Shard Bugs will have product available as well; we will be selling Shard Bugs branded shirts, hats, and will also have some Bearish acrylic cases on hand as well for purchase.
